I actually thought it made it all the more interesting to read. Some reviewers were concerned about the lack of a consistent rhyme scheme - which is true, the rhymes are sort of all over the place, but I didn't feel that it detracted value from the book. My son isn't even two yet and he loves this book and gets excited when we read it to him. This is my favorite book by Ruby Roth so far.
